- The Star Wars: The Force Awakens novelization by Alan Dean Foster is now on the New York Times Best Sellers list at #1 for hardcover fiction.
- Jedi Bibliothek has a look at another new Star Wars cover from Brazil, this time for Kevin Hearne’s Heir to the Jedi. It’s by Two Dots Creative Studio.
- A new Star Wars cookbook is on the horizon. It’s called The Official Star Wars Cookbook: May the Fork Be With You featuring 128 recipes and published by Media Lab Books. It will be out in September.
- Kevin Hearne fans can look forward to A Plague of Giants which is one step closer to coming out as he’s finished writing it. No word on a release date yet.
- Martha Wells is also making progress on her next book, a sequel to The Edge of Worlds.
Comic News
- Author Kevin Hearne‘s Iron Druid Chronicles are getting turned into comics via Dabel Brothers Publishing. They’re starting with the first book, Hounded. No details yet on who is doing the writing or artwork or even release dates, but it’s interesting news for IDC fans.
- The C-3PO one shot has been delayed, again, now until March.
- Marvel has an interview with Charles Soule and Phil Noto about their upcoming Poe Dameron mini-series.
- Randy Stradley did an interview with Diamond Distributors and posted the transcript for the interview on Facebook.
Fandom News
- Voice actor Stephen Stanton posted a neat video to YouTube talking about animation, where he got his start and some other cool trivia.
- Fxguide has a neat video on the visual effects for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

- The release date for Star Wars Episode VIII has been announced: December 15, 2017. Yep, it’s moving from May back to December.
- The latest Rebels Recon is out for Star Wars Rebels “A Princess on Lothal” along with the episode guide.
- There’s a trailer out for a new western called Forsaken. I’m a sucker for westerns, but this one has both Sutherlands in it. It’s getting a limited release next month.
- The new trailer for Suicide Squad is way better than the previous one. Check it out. It’ll be out in August.
Connected to Cloverfield, the trailer for 10 Cloverfield Lane looks interesting. It comes out in March.
- The 10 episode SyFy series The Expanse, based on the books by James S.A. Corey, has been renewed for a second season.

- Pre-orders are up for Sideshow’s sixth scale C-3PO.
- USA Today has a look at the new Star Wars Rebels Princess Leia action figure.
