Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Assembly of Geeks: Geeked Out Dads, Hi-Def Trauma & Ticked off Peggy kicks off with Regina, from Comic Book Noob, and her dad as they geek out on space and pop culture in celebration of Father’s Day. Then Matt, Scott and Jeff cover the news, The Killing Joke getting a one day theatrical release, new Transformers animated release, LEGO’s The Freemaker Adventures, and more.

Blast Points: Episode 26 covers some news, E3, the Palpatine tv script, LEGO’s The Force Awakens game, the Lucas museum, and then they head into their Qui-Gon-a-thon as they talk all things Qui-Gon. They cover his Jedi philosophy, his relationship with the Jedi council, his ability to live on in the Force, and how Luke is more like him than any other Jedi. Great entertaining show as always.

Blast Points: Episode 27 touches on the Episode VIII licensing expo news, Celebration panels, then plows into the Rogue One news. They cover the Rogue One pics, the Entertain Weekly character info, and take a deep dive into the Saw Gerrera reveal, the ties and connections, and the storytelling potential. Another great episode that is keeping this podcast in the top of its category. Blast Points is easily one of the best podcasts out there right now for Star Wars discussion.

Bombad Radio: The Spirit of Star Wars #2 focuses on The Last Starfighter with lots of fun facts, its Star Wars influences, as well as the things the filmmakers did to try and make it different from Star Wars. It’s a great episode with some fun discussion. Definitely worth a listen.

Brews and Blasters: Episode #75 is hosted by Joe and special guest Bill Gardner as they get into a free for all series of discussions covering Family Guy, American Dad, Obi-Wan movie thoughts, beer, Zelda, tv service providers, issues with video game audio, E3 Star Wars news, a retro Star Wars gaming discussion, pizza, R2’s rocket jets, need’em got’em, listener emails and Ki-Adi-Monday music. Great fun as always and one of my favorite general discussion podcasts.

Coffee With Kenobi: Coffee Chat with Leland Chee is a fun conversation with Leland as he talks about Star Wars, fandom, toys, LEGO and more.

Full of Sith: Special Release with Timothy Zahn and Michael A. Stackpole features some quick conversations with both authors. It’s a shorter episode, as Mike explains at the beginning. Hopefully things pan out and he’ll be able to rescue the lost Father’s Day episode as it sounded pretty cool.

Radio 1138: Episode 46 features a conversation with producer Robert Watts who shares some stories on the films he’s worked on. Then Mark chats with Joel Smith and Zak, they play some audio from a Q&A with Warwick Davis, they chat with Star Wars Rebels voice actress Vanessa Marshall, and more.

Radio 1138: Episode 47 starts with a nice little interview with Star Wars artist Jeff Carlisle as he talks about time lines, working digitally, having to start over, the elements in his print, and easter eggs. Then they talk with Star Wars artist Jason Christman about his love for the Falcon, his departure in style, wooden coins, and having multiple prints. They take a break to rundown some of the panels at Star Wars Celebration Europe, then get back to their Celebration artist interviews with Joe Corroney who talks about his and Brian Miller’s prints, how he came up with the piece, and his thoughts on Rogue One. Lastly is Malcolm Tween who talks about his print, Poe’s X-wing and the different elements. They wrap up with some more panel rundowns. Definitely worth checking out for the artist interviews.

Rebel Force Radio: Episode 6.17.16 is their Disney World meetup recording hosted by Jason, Jimmy, David Collins and Steve Glosson as they talk Star Wars and hang out with their listeners. Fun episode. They even sing the “Jabba Flow” song.

Rebel Force Radio: Episode 6.24.16 dives into Star Wars news as they cover Forest Whitaker being Saw Gerrera, new info on the Rogue One characters, official confirmation that Vader is in the film, the recently revealed Palpatine origin story for the undeveloped Star Wars live action tv series, plus some more on Disney Infinity, Ahsoka, and some Indy talk. Good episode.

Skywalking Through Neverland: Episode #122 features a fun interview with director and producer James Frawley who shares some great stories about The Monkey’s Show the first Muppets movie. Then they talk with Jeannie Gallo about the new fireworks show coming to Disney. Afterwards they talk with Anthony Fox, Bekah Goodman and Dave Skale about the new Frozen show. Fun episode.

Skywalking Through Neverland: Episode #123 covers the box office total for The Force Awakens, the new Julie Andrews show, their Skywalking Disney cruise, and more.

Skywalking Through Neverland: Episode #124 covers Finding Dory, The Freemaker Adventures press screening with a thorough description of the premise of the show, and a nice look at #Cantina.

Starships Sabers & Scoundrels: Episode #5 covers John Williams news, Celebration tattoo pavillion, art show, a Deep Breath gag on Rogue One reshoots, upcoming cons and Star Wars guests, a Dallas Fan Expo con report, a little snippet of the Steve Blum Q&A audio, a 501st interview, some cosplay interviews, listener feedback and a t-shirt report. Fun episode with a great combination of info and humor.

Starships Sabers & Scoundrels: Episode #5.5 is a special bonus episode with more Dallas Fan Expo coverage, a rundown on the people they met, their favorite cosplays, and the full audio of Steve Blum’s Q&A as he talks about his career, voice acting, and his fandom. Great episode.
