Cherry Bombs – The Underappreciated Movies Podcast: Howard the Duck is a great discussion of the film. The show is hosted by Dustin and Nick. They talk about the comics, George Lucas’ interest in the character, how he wanted to do an animated film but was contractually obligated to do a live action movie, how the movie got made, the people in it, the suit, the music, Duckworld, duck nudity, and then they breakdown the movie from beginning to end. There’s some adult discussion, so fair warning. This is a great conversation on the movie, and that’s coming from someone who has never seen it. Worth a listen.

He talks about his overnight success and exposure from an article, the different kinds of advertising he tried, finding what made their business unique, being a vet, how he got to opening his business, starting a cattle business, and his plans for expansion. It’s an interesting interview. I’m not sure who the host is as they never introduced themselves (and I could not find the info online), but it’s a well done show with excellent audio and production quality.
